What are your hours?
L. Kathryn Smith, LCSW, RPT sees clients Monday through Thursday. Lee Anne Dickerson, PsyD sees clients Tuesdays through Thursdays. Susan Richardson, MS, LPC, NCC, sees clients every weekday but Wednesdays. Suzanne M. Clark, MS, LPC, sees clients on Mondays. Appointment times are available in the morning, afternoon, and early evening, and we will work with you to find the most convenient time possible for you for us to meet.
Do you provide telemental (online / virtual) health appointments?
Yes! Our favorite way to meet with people is face-to-face in the office, but we're also very comfortable with telemental health (online) appointments and use them frequently. We also make walk-and-talk therapy appointments available, for those clients who are interested, depending on the clinician you would like to work with. Telemental health services are available for residents of Georgia, Virginia, and Florida, depending upon the clinician you would like to see. Contact us for more information.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, check, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), and health savings or flex spending account cards are all accepted forms of payment at Arbor Cove Therapy, LLC. Payment in full for services rendered is due at the time of each appointment. For clients' convenience, Arbor Cove Therapy, LLC can provide clients with documentation (commonly referred to as a superbill) to submit to their insurance company to request partial reimbursement for out-of-network services. Clients need to confirm out-of-network benefits with their insurance company beforehand, as Arbor Cove Therapy, LLC cannot guarantee benefits.
Do you accept insurance?
We are out-of-network with all other insurance plans, but can provide monthly superbills to clients who wish to submit their own claims to insurance for any out-of-network benefits available under their plan. Clients are encouraged to check with their insurance company regarding their plan beforehand, as Arbor Cove Therapy, LLC cannot guarantee benefits.
Do you offer custody evaluations or testimony in divorce cases?
When working with children of parents who are going through a divorce, we ask both parents to agree in writing to waive our participation in court proceedings, out of respect for the value of the therapeutic relationship between our clinicians and their child. Our focus in providing therapy is the psychological, relational, and emotional well-being of the child. Being asked to testify in legal proceedings inevitably damages the therapeutic relationship and costs the child a needed source of support. If a parent is seeking counseling services for their child for legal purposes (such as custody evaluations), we are happy to provide referrals to qualified forensic therapists and psychologists.
